Dive Against Debris® Map
This map represents the largest underwater citizen science database and movement for marine debris on the planet. Explore to discover the types and amounts of debris over 90,000 Torchbearers around the world have removed and reported from underwater environments since 2011.
This data on seafloor debris fills a critical data gap. In 2020, we published this data in Science Direct, advancing critical marine research. We will release two more publications in the coming year.
We actively seek to share the Dive Against Debris Data with NGOs, governments and local communities. Please contact us if you are interested in data to help advance your work. If you would like to learn more about our marine debris work see our program page here.
We hope you will join us by becoming a Dive Against Debris Diver and join our underwater Torchbearer movement.
