On Saturday 29th May 2021, Blue Ocean Club organized “Dive Against Debris™ ~ the 2nd Hits” for 2021, an event aimed to remove marine debris from the ocean and conduct marine debris survey to raise the awareness of marine debris problem, and encourage others to join the movement and take important steps to help protect the ocean that we care about.

The event was conducted at Tung Ping Chau, Hong Kong, and there were 7 participating volunteer divers. The weather condition was fine yet windy, seawater temperature was at 28°C. Volunteer divers were given a brief on the dive site information, safety and environmental awareness prior to the dive.

Volunteer divers have successfully cleaned up to 12.7 kg of marine debris amongst them mainly consist of ghost nets (discarded fishnets), glass bottles, aluminum and metal cans, as well as some metal rods, large cloths, and ropes. The type and quantity of the debris collected, including the cleanup site information, were documented in the marine debris survey data card and reported to the Project AWARE Foundation.

藍海俱樂部於2021年5月29日籌辦了本年度第二次 “打擊海洋垃圾潛水計劃™”，一項針對海底垃圾的清潔和調查活動；目的讓大眾了解海洋垃圾問題，並鼓勵其他潛水員於平時也身體力行，為海洋保育作出貢獻。

是次活動由7名義工潛水員組成義工隊伍參加，並於香港東平洲進行水底清潔。當日天氣天晴酷熱，水溫攝氏約28度。相關的工作人員在活動前向各義工隊員簡報了潛點地形與生態，並講解有關的安全守則和環保資訊。

 義工潛水隊於兩次下潛後成功收集了共 12.7公斤垃圾。東坪州主要的垃圾類別為鬼網（棄置魚網）、玻璃飲料樽、鋁製/金屬飲料罐，同時亦發現數枝鋼筋、大幅的布料類及繩索。垃圾的類別和數量，及調查地點已詳細記錄在調查記錄表，並回報到Project AWARE Foundation。
