Beach Clean-ups by AquaMarine Diving - Bali

updates

The absence of government or local trash management combined with lack of education for the local population means household rubbish ends up in the ocean. About 80% of the debris in the sea came from land and – unsurprisingly! - most of the marine litters are dominated by plastic.

Activities around the beach may be one of the main entrances for marine debris. In fact, there is still a lot of trash found around the beach, even though AquaMarine Diving-Bali frequently carries out Beach Clean-up activities. Assisted by restaurants around the beach who also lend a hand to help doing beach cleaning. On AMD-B’s latest Beach Clean-up we collected 14.3 kg of non-organic trash.
